So, Bryce gets down on one knee…opens the box and inside is nothing but a folded up index card. The card had a clue that said my ring had been taken and I must find it. I was lead on a scavenger hunt through my room while my students helped me to know where to look. Finally the last clue says “stand on a chair, don’t be frustrated, it will be up there”. So I finally figured out what chair to stand on and was looking at the top of my whiteboard when one of my students said “Miss Morris—Do you see anything sparkly up there?!” And sure enough I did. I got it down and Bryce took it from me and asked me to marry him. He hugged me, then kissed me. You can imagine the response I got from a classroom full of kindergarteners: “EWWW!!” “Grossss!!!” “MISSS MORRRRISS!!!!” It was quite entertaining.
Finally, we finished off the day eating the donuts Bryce had gotten for the kids. One of my students said “ Miss Morris…does this mean we aren’t going to do math?!” “I asked “Aren’t donuts better than math?” Then one of my other girls chimed in and said “Seeing you kiss was better than donuts AND math!”
Normally I would be opposed to a public proposal but it was quite entertaining to do it with my kids. It was fun that they could be a part of it. After he proposed though, there were definitely some misconceptions. A lot of my students thought I had gotten married. I had to explain to them that I was not married but some day I would Mrs. Pinder. To which one student said “Miss Morris! I don’t want you to get married!!” I asked “Why?” “Because…I don’t like that name!”
That evening, Bryce took me to The Roof restaurant on top of the Joseph Smith Building that overlooks the temple. It was FANTASTIC. Everything about the proposal was perfect. And now I get wear the most beautiful ring and marry the most perfect man.
I am awful at blogging... especially putting pictures up so the pictures are actually in backwards order. Hope you can figure it out!

I heart catching up with people on blogs. Cutest story ever! I'm so excited for yoU!
So darling! How did he have time to sneak into your room and hide all the clue? I bet they had great stories to tell after school that day! Any phone calls from parents?
Best proposal ever!! I love it!
Congratulations, that is so exciting! What a fun way to propose!
Congrats Cam! I didn't know you were dating anyone either. That's so cute!
Bryce hid all the clues while I went to lunch in the faculty room. My principal was in on it and he told me I had to go to his office when I finished eating. I waited at his office for about 10 minutes before hurrying back to class but he was just trying to prevent me from going back in early while Bryce was hiding all the clues. He then killed 3 hours in Eagle Mountain which is quite painful! No calls from parents but several have come up to me to see if their child was telling the truth :) Beth, I'm sure you can imagine how kindergartners interpreted the whole experience!
