According to Dave this is breaking some serious blogging rules because I have no pictures, just words. But I felt the need to share my journey in the game of assassin. Mostly so I would never forget the whole experience :)
In my ward at BYU we played a game called assassin. If you signed up you were given a name of somebody in the ward. You had 72 hours to shoot this person with a water gun to eliminate them...if you didn't then you would be eliminated. My complex was safe..outside and in, but the parking lot was free game.
I got my first name: Natauscha. She lived in a stairwell down from my old apartment. Because my old roommates are great, I decided to stake out in their apartment for hours waiting for her to go to her car. Her roommate told me what kind of car she drove so I just watched, for hours, waiting for her to get home. I went to my brother's tennis match then came home and her car still wasn't there. I showed my parents my apartment then when I came back...her car was there! I was so mad, I thought I had missed her. I sauntered back into my old apartment totally depressed that I had failed. While standing there, talking to my roommates, I saw her head back to her car. I grabbed my gun and chased her down! First victim.
My next name was Maren...my roommate! When I got home that night I told my roommates that I didn't get Natauscha. Turns out Jerika had me. So I had to seriously lie to her. When I went to school the next morning, I hid her gun in the kitchen drawer then booked it out the door. Whew. I got Maren that night in the parking lot. Then I got my next person inside his class. Jacob. 3 victims down.
My next two kills I got them on their way to class and inside class. One was Sarah...she was really mad that after I shot her, she squirted me in the face a few times. Oh well :)
Friday night I was on the defense. I went to the ward talent show, which is safe, but going to and from the talent show is not safe. I parked on the south side of the wilk and was a little late because I had gone to dinner with my family. After the talent show, all 10 remaining people left in the game were there...it was intense. I saw that this one guy in my ward was following my every move, I knew that he had been hired to stalk me. I walked with Maren to get a drink and decided I needed to make a getaway. I booked it down the stairs and ran and hid in the BYU bowling alley. I got a call from Maren. "Camille...you have to RUN!! They are ALL running after you!" I felt pretty safe hidden in the bowling alley but knew I had to move fast. I ran down the hall and up a hidden stairwell that comes out at the cougareat. I made a mad dash for the car. Maren called me and asked if I wanted her to pick me up. We met at an elementary school and I got in Jerika's car while Maren got in my car to drive it home. We pulled into our complex and someone saw me in the car. I decided to make a mad dash for it anyway. I ran from my car to the quad and Meghan (who had me) came towards me with a huge gun. Luckily she wasn't quite in range and I made it onto safe ground. Whew.
I got my next victim Sunday night when he came home to go home teaching. I got him right at his car about 5 minutes before my time expired. It was a miracle. Then it was down to Tommy, Dan and I. Tommy and Dan had had a pact the whole game. Dan had Tommy but had made a truce not to kill him so that they could be the final two. Well, I killed Dan on Monday after his class. Not killed, sorry, shot with a water gun. I wore a hat and held a notebook in front of my face...pretty good disguise.
My good brother Dave came with me to get Tommy outside his class. We waited, and waited. Then a girl came around the corner and saw me standing there with a bright green squirt gun. Dave and I knew that she was working for Tommy. We then proceeded to run around the Tanner building. Up and Down, Up and Down. Thank goodness Dave was there because I would have gotten lost like 18 times if I was on my own. I also saw that Dan was there. Then, we came around a corner and saw Tommy. This was the most intense moment of the game. I was hiding behind Dave and I said "Dave, that's Tommy...RUN!" And that's just what we did. We ran from the bottom floor of the Tanner building to the top. Then back down the elevator (I guess as a decoy...thought I was going to die because I have never climbed stairs that fast in my life). I escaped and Dave stayed to distract them.
I was then unsure how I would ever get Tommy. The next day at school Tommy kept texting me his schedule. He was hoping I would come try to get him and he would just get me first. Tuesday night I was exhausted and needed to get some stuff done since all I had done the previous week was play this stupid game. Suddenly I got a text message that said "Tommy is at Gold's Gym right now". I decided to give it one more try. Maren, Jerika and I hopped in Dave's truck and drove to Gold's gym. It was quite comical to have the three of us trying to decide what the best tactic would be for the kill. We ended up parking two spots away from his car and ducking down in the cab of the truck. (It was about 8:30 at night). We waited and waited. Then him and his two friends came out and were walking to his car. I shot threw the small window in the back of the truck and.....VICTORY! I got him. A small little splash on the arm. It was so wonderful to have the game over and to be victorious.
I'd like to thank all those that helped me reach my victory. Maren and Jerika for putting up with nonstop talking about the game, then coming along as my accomplices for my final kill. Dave for letting me use his truck, sleep at his place at 6 in the morning, and for leading me through the Tanner building. Kim for telling me that Tommy was at Gold's gym. Joe for telling me that Tommy was going to follow me to school in which case I decided to drive to my sister's and sleep at her place. Becky for letting me come sleep at her place :) And all others who rooted for me along the way. This was quite possibly one of the greatest successes of my life :)
Signed, Camille the Assassin

Wow! That was hilarious and sounded like so much fun! Nice work cam!
LOL. Nice Cam. I finally had time to read this. I hadn't heard the details of the final kill yet. Good thing you had so many people to help you with it! Maybe you need to change your major and enter the spy field.
I don't know about these posts, Camille (pronounced kuh-me-uhl). They only chronicle your victories and we read nothing about your defeats. This seems to be a pretty one-sided portrait.
Warmest Regards,
The Management
