Catchin up with some pictures!

I have my mom's computer and she has some pictures on here of a few family events that I never posted on so I thought I would post them and write about them!

I went through the Mt. Timanogos Temple Saturday April 26 and I was lucky to have so many of my family there! It was a neat experience. It was suuuuper windy so none of these pictures turned out hat great.

Dave was trying to shield me from the wind, clearly it wasn't working that well!

I said I would post pictures of my intramural shirt but I never did! Here is Jake and I in our Intramural Champion t-shirts. I still can't believe I got one, they are so coveted at BYU.

This is at Kallie's baby blessing. The whole family got to be there for it so it was pretty awesome! Landon was a little camera shy for the picture. And here are the two cousins togetehr, two weeks apart in age...precious.

I went to Jake and Stacey's graduation. I got to hold Kallie for the majority of the time which was awesome, she was such a good baby!! I love my niece!

Goin' on a mission, start the countdown!

So as most of you have heard, I'm going on a mission! After a lot of hoops to jump through, I finally submitted my papers on Sunday March 16th and got my call on Thursday March 27th. I was so incredibly lucky to have my whole family (minus Shane, who unfortunately couldn't come til the weekend) here. They were here for spring break and Kallie's baby blessing and lucky for me my call came!! It came as a surprise to a lot of people because I really only told my family and my roommates. I have been deciding to go on a mission for a long time. About last time this year I decided I for sure wanted to go and was waiting til the summer to put my papers in, but then I started dating someone so I had a change of plans. When that didn't work out, the idea of going on a mission once again entered my mind. I wrestled with the idea for a long time wondering if it was right for me. Finally things just sort of fell into place and one thing led to the next and I felt strongly once again that I wanted to go on a mission. My fears of going dissolved as I got excited for the opportunity to go on a mission. Each week that I worked on putting my papers in, the excitement escalated and I became rather impatient as I was so super anxious to put them in!

There's nothing like opening an envelope that not only decides where you will be for the next 18 months of your life but also will change the rest of your life. Some of my close friends and family were there to witness the much anticipated opening of the call. Here's what it read: "Dear Sister Morris, You are hereby called to serve as a missionary of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. You are assigned to labor in the Illinois Chicago North Mission. It is anticipated that you will serve for a period of 18 moths..." I go into the MTC May 21, I am SO excited! I can't even type this blog without feeling the spirit and getting a warm fuzzy anxious feeling to serve the Lord. I know very little about Chicago but I have heard nothing but good things...well except for the cold :) I was also excited because Christie Baird served her mission there so I can have an insider as to the ins and outs of the Chicago mission.

I am going on a mission to baptize and bring people unto Christ. I'm excited to serve the people in Illinois. Here is a picture of me opening my mission call and my friends anxiously waiting for me to open it and I thought I would stick one in of Chicago :)

Tagged!!

Chelsey Brady Felman tagged me forever ago, and by forever I pretty much mean forever. Then Jess tagged me a few months ago so I thought I would untag myself here.

A: The rules of the game are posted at the beginning.
B: Each player answers the questions about themselves.
C: At the end of the post, the player then tags 3 people and posts their names, then goes to their blogs and leaves them a comment, letting them know that they have been tagged and asking them to read your blog.

10 years ago: I was in 6th in Mr. McNeils class. In fact, I remember at this particular time Mr. McNeil would let us go downstairs in the annex and watch on a HUGE screen t.v. the march madness basketball games...he was pretty much the greatest teacher ever.

5 things on my to-do list today:
(Today is Sunday and I don't really have to-do lists on Sunday so I'll write my to-do list from yesterday)
1. Go grocery shopping.
2. Do my homework for Monday and Tuesday
3. Find a children's book to read to my preschoolers and do an activity with next week.
4. Clean my room.
5. Do something fun.

5 Snacks I enjoy:
1. yogurt covered raisins.
2. popcorn with orange julius
3. bagel bites
4. brownies
5. ice cream

What I would do if I were suddenly made a billionaire:
Billionaire? wow, that's a lot of money. I would travel the world most definitely. Then who knows, that's just too much money to comprehend.

5 places I have lived:
1. Ashland, Oregon
2. Poitiers, France
3. Paris, France (but only for 7 weeks)
4. Provo, Utah
5. Future destination unknown.

5 jobs that I have had:
1. Newspaper route; gotta love it.
2. Cleaning Lois' hair shop...not my favorite job.
3. Teller at Rogue Federal Credit Union for about 4 years.
4. Student Services at BYU...coming up on 4 years.
5. Future job is hopefully an Elementary Teacher.

5 Things people don't know about me:
Hmmmm.
1. Although I have a hard time getting out of bed, I LOVE mornings. I love walking to school in the early morning when the sun is still coming up and it's really quiet outside. Especially if you've got the birds chirpping and it is warm outside...amazing.
2. I've always wanted to be an actress. I used to envy actors and actresses when I was little. I tried out the whole acting thing in high school for one school assignment and I actually did quite well and even had fellow classmates asking me to join drama--crazy I know. I have done absolutely nothing to pursue this interest.
3. I'm crooked. Most people don't notice, but once I point it out, it becomes quite obvious. One shoulder is significantly lower than the other (because of my fabulous back) so it always looks like I am leaning.
4. I have a couple strange phobias. They aren't significant phobias where I freak out or anything, but they are certainly things that bother me. I have a phobia of doors...it takes a lot for me to knock on doors...and yes I know I will need to get over that very quickly :) One time I had to meet with my professor and every time I went to go meet with him his door was closed...so instead of knocking (I knew he was in there), I would just turn around and leave. I did this three times before I had enough courage to knock on the door. Another strange phobia or weird thing that I do is when I eat in restaurants, or sit in a room, I have to have my back to the wall so I can see the rest of the room or restaurant...I'm one strange cookie.
5. Despite our many differences, my best friend Sarah Cate from first grade is still one of my best friends. We know each other too well to say the least.

I tag whoever wants to do this!

We are the champions...we are the champions (please sing)

After 4 years of battling it out in intramural co-ed tennis doubles, Jake and I finally came out with a win...and undefeated at that! This was our last chance at a victory seeing as how we are both seniors so it was pretty sweet to win. Tonight was our last match and we won 8-3 although I must say, they didn't exactly bring their A game. We played them last week and it we battled it out to barely win 9-7 so we were pretty surprised when we kicked their trash tonight. Thanks to Jake I finally got an intramural t-shirt! I definitely couldn't have won one of those on my own. I'll put a picture of my sweet shirt on here as soon as I get it. All I have to say now is "woooo hooooo!!!!!!"
